Double rocket climbs 250 miles at 5000 mph
White Sands New Mexico report on a two stage rocket flight where a German V2 carried a WAC Corporal nose cone to 250 miles altitude and 5000 mph top speed. Brigadier General Blackmore called it the greatest height by a man made object and the first known multi stage liquid fueled rocket.
