Papal Decree And Masonic Link In Texas Revolt

A 1827 papal decree approved by the Mexican Republic banned the York Lodge of the Masonic Order and barred loyal Catholics from participation. Richard Field, a Cherokee leader tied to the Fredonian uprising, also figures in the narrative before his death.
