Dr. Guy Newman, assistant to the president of Baylor University, will be guest preacher at the First Baptist Church for five Sundays starting August 20. He joined Baylor 20 months ago after resigning from a major pastorate in Denton and has traveled widely on university missions. He is also a favored supply preacher at Bellevue Church in Memphis, the region’s largest Baptist church east of the Mississippi.
