Johnson Reveals Deferred Deferment Rules

Secretary of Defense Johnson announced that National Guardsmen and reservists in critical jobs may be deferred temporarily from active duty for up to six months. The plan, part of a three-department effort, includes 48 labor critical occupations and 72 commerce industries, but deferments are only guiding and do not affect Selective Service inductions.

Blaze Gutts City Furniture Store In Fredericksburg

Llano Man Hurt in Car Crash North of Leander

Lamon York Ratliff of Llano was seriously injured late Thursday when his car skidded overturned and burned about one and a half miles north of Leander. Patrols say the vehicle failed to make a curve and rolled several times. he was the only occupant as doctors at Brackenridge Hospital assessed his injuries.
