Roadside Stand Becomes Nearly Complete Town

Buena Park Calif April Walter Knott leased 10 acres and opened a roadside stand to sell his berries. The venture grew into a thriving complex with dining rooms Gift shop dress shop and a faux Ghost Town. Knott built a major berry business employing 450 people with family partners and a growing mail order trade.
