A meeting of township Justices and Constables aimed to resign to place the Liquor Law with supporters but they agreed not to quit. The town’s alarm at losing their services subsided as decision was announced. Lawrenceburg notices trial of Danford's Mowing Machine at Nevitt's farm next Saturday with invites to manufacturers. James P. Milliken presided with A. H. Jumper as secretary at a Saturday 9 inst Temperance meeting in Upper Manchester. Rev. McCaw spoke, then Judge Cotton read resolutions praising Neal Dow and Prohibition, pledging support for the state liquor law and urging publication in local papers.
The Atlantic arrives in New York with reports of Allied capture of Kerch on the Sea of Azov and the Russian camp at Tchernaya. The French and Russians fought through the nights of the 22nd and 23rd with about eight thousand killed and wounded. Allies seized the Tehernaya lines and gained control of the Sea of Azov with fourteen Allied steamers. Russians burned four steamers and thirty transports as they retreated.

Died Tuesday morning in the city is Mr Joseph Little aged 48 years.
