Long session reviews acts and treaties in 19th century Congress

A review of the eight month session highlights the regular appropriation bills, the Gadsden and British reciprocity treaties, the Canadian accord, and the push for military funding along the Atlantic coast. It critiques the administration for failed measures, praises some vetoes, and laments political disarray across parties. Also concise satire on women’s fashion and a quip about blinds.
