Hay for hens nests and a two year prison term
A farmer refused to sell a cent’s worth of hay to an old lady who asked him to drive to her yard and change for hens nests. In a separate note, John W. Keltz was tried in the circuit court, convicted of horse theft, and sentenced to two years in the Penitentiary.
