Fragmentary notice shows PororTEec property insured against accidental fires with Home Insurance Company of New York. Two names Dorrans and Cirreas appear with asset figures and dated January 1, 1863.
The Laughery Baptist Association met September 3 1864 at Rising Sun Indiana after an introductory sermon by Elder A Connelly. Officers were elected, correspondence opened with other associations, and funds were pledged for the German Mission with a plan to appoint visiting committees and publish minutes. Resolutions praised foreign and domestic missions and the Union victory, and thanked Rising Sun for hospitality.
