Catharine Durham died at her son Noah Durham's residence in this county on Sept 20 in her ninety third year. A Delaware native who moved with her husband John Durham to the West in 1811, she cared for frontier life and children. She joined the Methodist Episcopal Church about fifty years ago and died with strong spiritual sight despite five or six years of blindness.
