Moore's UK Indiana January 30 1867 Mr Barron describes a local case of cheap insurance by the Lafayette Mutual. A resident insured his dwelling for five years paying 1200 cash and a 3000 note. Assessments of 665 and 600 followed, plus 295 and 14 40 on note, totaling 42 50 for 1000 coverage, vs 25 in a reliable company.
