The American Legion Auxiliary met with 14 members on Sept 2 at the hall and planned serving the Cattle Feeders on Sept 25. October is membership month and members are urged to invite new recruits. The group held its annual summer reunion on Aug 31 at the Aurelia hall.
A long community roundup lists a noon picnic at Shelter House with attendees from Storm Lake Cherokee Kansas City Aurelia and local names. Events include Aurelia Federated Womans Club potluck September 12 and United Methodist Women guest speaker on child advocacy, plus Embroidery Club Pythian Sisters and Federated clubs meetings with birthday tributes and planned officer installations.
A day night potluck at the Community Center featured greetings from Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Mark and Lynn Mark with Hemath Talphalia of Nepal. Edwin Meyer led the business session followed by bingo and the Pledge of Allegiance after singing America the Beautiful.
