They dedicated a new flag with thanks to James Sexton and Noel Walash for the base. Seventh grade sang the American Creed and God Bless America as Jerry Peterson and Ray Holderness unfurled the flag and placed it on the standard. The program closed with the Pledge.
The Victory Stamp Bank opened on Thursday with a first day goal of 75 dollars but raised 840 dollars and 85 cents. Elizabeth Eddy and Richard Leeds serve as bankers this week, with Ethel Johnson as president and Kenneth Beeghley as vice president. Seventh graders study the poem Afternoon On A Hill while eighth graders learn library organization and mail letters in English and review history material.
