Postmaster exam applications deadline last Friday. about a dozen blanks distributed, exact filings unknown as blanks mailed to Washington. Deputy Warden Schuenke arraigns Glenn Cress for shooting ducks out of season. fined 53.85 and gun confiscated. Sale of the Wilson eighty near Alta to Warren Hix Storm Lake at 155 per acre and Hobbs estate northwest eighty at 70 per acre.
A seven year old boy cashed checks of five to ten dollars, receiving change and merchandise, affecting nine Cherokee area businesses on Saturday. Public notices and local social pages report community events and obituaries in the county seat.
The Mt Olive column reports visits from Amos Hahn and Pearl Johns and others from Moneta Aurelia Storm Lake Cherokee Quimby Washta and Cherokee county Ladies Aid plans and a church funeral in Cherokee. Proceeds from a Ladies Aid supper reached 29. Isaac Graham obituary notice and funeral details are noted.
