The Peterson Winkel wedding described a chapel ceremony with a bouffant veil and colonial white roses. Pamela Peterson and Georgia Winkel served as maid of honor and bridesmaid. Eldon Winkel and Brent Peterson were best man and groomsman. Ushers included Mark Peterson and others. A reception followed in the Church Fellowship Hall with arrangements by local hosts and flower details.
Denise Gustafson and Pat Glawe presided over a wedding reception with many guests including Gayle Brandsma Joy Engdahl Mary Ideker Anita Ideker Janet Erlandson Pat Lindgren Gayle McCannon and Kathy Peterson. The bride wore lavender pant suit and corsage from her bouquet. The couple will reside in Iowa City after a Colorado honeymoon. both are University of Iowa students.
The ceremony featured organ music, daisies and white bows decor. The bride gave a white rose to her mother and then to the groom’s mother, signaling the union of two families. She wore a white organza gown with lace bodice and blue satin accents, carried yellow roses and a white orchid, and was attended by Maureen Andersen and Miss Louise Ferrin.
The ceremony featured a bride with puffed sleeves and a mother made dress, with bridesmaids Karen Spiltle and Carol Wallin in identical outfits and daisies. Best man Steve Wicks and groomsmen Gary Bengtson and Steve Jones attended, as guests were ushered by Steve Ainsworth. The reception for 200 at Speelman’s Steak House followed at Cherokee. The couple, both with Iowa ties, plan to settle in Cedar Falls after a Minneapolis honeymoon. The bride, Aurelia High School and UNI music student, and groom, Decorah and UNI graduate with a music degree, plan further study at UNI audiences.
