Hartley Hawks Football Roster and Season Outlook
Hartley enters the season with 72 hopefuls across two squads. The varsity of 35 includes juniors and seniors, while 22 sophomores and 15 freshmen form the Freshman-Sophomore unit. Coach Twait expects strong lines averaging around 200 pounds and a speed tilt closer to 190. The team will rely on experienced offense and inexperienced defense, with Sutherland Aurelia and Hartley top in the conference. Alta Milford and Primghar Paullina Lake Park noted as dark horses. Hartley plans to use split T and Wing T plays, avoiding Wishbone due to speed limits, aiming for continued offensive power.
