Aurelia Council Minutes Dated September 1930 Proceedings
Aurelia Iowa council holds regular meeting September 9 1930 with Mayor Larson and five members. Treasurers report and bills are approved. numerous contractors paid for salaries, labor, hydrants, supplies, and oil. A water main extension bid from M Anderson is accepted and a railroad underpass exception noted. An adjourned session September 15 voted to extend a 2 inch water main to the end of the street west of the railroad track.

Method for making a paper barometer from a 20th century recipe
The article describes saturating white blotting paper with cobalt chloride four percent sodium chloride seven grains acacia percent ounce and water three ounces. The completed paper changes color to indicate air moisture levels from rose red for rain to bluish blue for very dry conditions.
