Official notice in Cherokee County Iowa that the Feb 24 1954 Last Will of C H Kaskey deceased is filed for probate. A hearing is set for November 6 1962 at 10 00 AM in the Cherokee District Court to determine validity.
Mr and Mrs Selene Lighter of Battle Creek were dinner and supper guests in the home of his mother Mrs Ellen Lighter Sunday. In the afternoon Mrs Lighter entertained with organ music at Sunset Knoll for several hours. Mr and Mrs Edwin Engdahl visited in the Harry Lindgren home at Meriden Sunday afternoon and evening.
Mrs Edgar Winterhof listed as patient at Buena Vista County hospital. Mr and Mrs Harlan Hogrefe and daughters Laurie and Debra of Grimes visited Harold Hogrefe's home for the weekend. A bridal shower was held for Nancy Kindwall, bride elect of Marlin Friedrich.
Social items list Pinochle club guests high scores and birthday honors. A 12:30 dinner featured gifts for Mrs Art Ruebsam. Mr and Mrs Eric Gustafson hosted a 6:30 dinner with numerous Cherokees and Au relia attendees. Elk Township Homemakers met with reports from Buena Vista Farm Bureau and Extension staff. Mary Guild circle gathered with devotion and lesson. Harold and Mrs Dunn celebrated silver wedding with open house at VFW Halls Cher okee. many relatives attended with corsages and gifts. about 140 guests registered. Friendship and Past Chiefs clubs updated meeting dates for mid October.
A Card of Thanks expresses gratitude for neighborly support during illness. Mrs. A. E. Hasenwinkel thanks friends for prayers, cards, flowers, and remembrances while hospitalized and at home.
