Mt Olive Church Forges Ahead After Replacing Fires
Mt Olive near Aurelia traces its origins to 1888 with 11 members meeting February 5. A church built on Dukes land was dedicated that year, a parsonage added in 1898, and fires in 1934 and 1950 led to rebuilt sanctuaries dedicated in 1934 and 1951. Twenty five pastors served in 75 years. Rev Noblitt is current pastor.
