Mr and Mrs Oscar Gustafson and family were guests at the Enoch Nelson and Grandma Gustafson home south of Aurelia for Sunday dinner. Mrs Arthur Ohlson of near Diamond Center visited Mr Olive. Mr and Mrs Harold Johnson of the area were callers.
Afton vicinity reports numerous Sunday visits among Johnson, Hanson, Bruce, and Shafer families across Aurelia Storm Lake and Cherokee. Attendees travel to funerals, farm sales, and a retailers convention in Omaha. Community clubs host meetings and plans for December gatherings. Mrs Gates attends state Farm Bureau convention and Cherokee county shows notable reading-project progress.
Rev and Mrs J R Kirby of Poca hontas and Mr and Mrs Galen Gilbert of Ames stayed with Max Gilbert. George Loucks drove to Ames Sunday with Galen Gilbert. Mrs Earl Bugh hosted two luncheons for women with bingo. Friends and relatives marked birthdays for Mrs Glenn Loucks and Mrs Harlan Brownmiller with a social afternoon.
