The church invites worshippers to a four evening revival starting Tuesday at 8 pm through Friday with guest preacher Lev Anthony of New York City. Sunday school at 10, morning worship at 11, evening preaching at 7 30. Visitors welcome.

The bid of 73745 covers material and labor with completion set for late fall. Energizing of the first REA line in the county is delayed by missing substation parts but expected this week.
The 1940 Iowa trapping season starts November 10 with a new rule requiring official copper trap tags from the State Conservation commission. Residents using up to 15 traps pay $1 for license and 15 tags. extra traps incur 15 cents per trap. Closures include muskrat and mink while Mississippi River trapping remains allowed.
