Milford has finished schedule. others have one conference game remaining with matches set for November 5 and 11. proposed plan to require every conference school to play every other in 1950.
Aurelia's Bullpups, made up of freshmen and sophomores, lost 32 to 0 to Cherokee's freshmen and sophomores Monday night at Aurelia. Cherokee scored in the first quarter on Peck's run, Lamont and Bunker added touchdowns in the second, and Nord and Peck finished with two more scores in the final period.
Betty and Norma Nelson daughters of O S Nelson of Aurelia west have been accepted in the Morningside college choir. Both alto singers will travel with the choir on its spring tour. Betty and Norma are freshmen in the conservatory and active in campus factions.
Terry Loucks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Loucks, died in an Omaha hospital after three days with polio. A large crowd attended Tuesday's Methodist church service in Aurelia to express the community’s sympathy. The report notes condolences from neighbors and references other local happenings including birthday honors and visits.
Thirty-two members and one guest attended the American Legion Auxiliary gathering Tuesday afternoon at the I. O. O. F. hall. President Lillie Fierk presided and led the session.
The meeting opened with the opening exercise and business session. Treasurer Clara Kaskey reported. Mrs. Helen Loof requested transfer to Sheldon Unit No. 146. The Auxiliary voted to join the American Legion in a joint covered dish supper at the Legion hall on November 11 between 6 30 and 7 00. A Christmas party with a 50 cent gift exchange is planned for the next meeting. Dolls will be dressed and sent to veterans hospitals. Save Butternut coffee labels for Mrs. Margaret Scott. County meeting at Quimby on November 29. Mary Wieland spoke on Armistice and Blanche Daniels on education. The Bugler featured a soprano solo by Mrs. Hazel Stutz with accompaniment by Mrs.
Harriett Waddell performed The Fairest of the Day piano solo. The meeting adjourned as Mrs Phyllis Johnson drew the door prize. A delicious lunch was served by Margaret Scott Bertha Swanson Rosa Loof Inez Larson and Svea Johnson.
Ernest Stanworth pastor directs church school at 10 a.m. with Raymond Kruse as superintendent. Morning worship at 11. Shel don Methodist Youth Fellowship fall district rally in Spencer Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. No local service Sunday evening. Turkey supper and bazaar Wednesday November 10, adults 1.00 and children 50 cents.
