Diamond Farmer Vanishes From Cherokee Farm
The Cherokee Chief reports Dick Reynolds and family disappeared from the Mrs F C Peterson farm after two and a half years of farming. Left behind were household furniture and a Nash auto plus Nash truck. Reynolds allegedly owes $9,000 to First National and Galva State banks. Max Bockwaldt of Galva has bought the crops and owns the stock and machinery.

Major Fires Destroy Barns and Farm Buildings Near Holstein
The Charley Wulf place three miles east and half north of Holstein suffered total loss in a Friday night blaze. Two large barns 48 by 60 feet and 60 by 60 feet, plus a hog house, were destroyed along with machinery, 26 tons of hay, oats, four hogs, and several horses. The Galva schoolhouse near Frank Webb farm also burned Thursday night. Women’s Club notes record October meeting with delegates elected for the Eleventh District Convention in Holstein on November 28 and talks on citizenship and women in politics.
