Rep Poston Starts Legislators Thinking About Annual Session
Iowa legislators consider annual or shortened sessions as Rep E E Poston proposes a yearly meeting to modernize lawmaking. Poston notes faster travel and weekend home visits argue for earlier bill drafting and contact amendments. A postwar special session idea and car purchase limits also surface amid budget pressures and tax confusion. Municipal and state agencies face checks on income tax filings and delays in refunds, with the war loan drive advancing.
