Must Sign For Feed Grain Program By June 1
Cherokee County corn and grain sorghum producers are reminded to sign up for the 1961 feed grain program by June 1. ASC Chairman Louis C. Bengtson warns that many farmers have delayed and should hurry to avoid a last minute rush. The county office closes Saturdays and on Memorial Day May 30. Cherokee County reports 1187 farms signed up to divert 34,300 acres of 604%.
