The Aurelia Merchants opened the 1972 softball season with four wins in four games. They beat Alta 8 6 with Ron Miller hitting a grand slam and Roger Jones a 3 run homer. The nightcap ended 12 0 as Rusty Mohler struck out six. Jones led the offense with two homers and multiple RBI.

Mrs. Gene Kline hosted a Pinochle Club night last Tuesday with high score going to Mrs. R. D. Berge and second to Mrs. Hugo Hucke. Lunch followed. Jolly Jones gathered 12 members at Mrs. Eldon Fordyce’s home on May 15. plans for a June 21st weiner roast at the Aurelia shelter were made. Prizes went to Mrs. Archie Makay Jr., Mrs. Clair Parrott, and Mrs. Frank Peterson. Dessert luncheon concluded the afternoon. Nine members attended Sunset Knoll Auxiliary at the Home Monday. Pillow Cleaning raised $46.74.
