Mid-America defends ammonia pipeline plan for Iowa farmers
Robert E. Thomas president of Mid-America Pipeline Company argues the proposed ammonia line will boost Iowa jobs with 400 employees on payroll of 2.5 million and lower farmer costs by cutting rail rates. He cites 482 miles of pipeline, existing LP-Gas experience, and records of farmer cooperation while denying harm from land use and asserting public benefit.
