Local residents join many for weekend visits and dinners
Various families and friends traveled and gathered across Iowa and neighboring states. Mr and Mrs Elmer Gertsmeier hosted near Galva while Shirley Pedersen and Cobb Anderson called on Mrs Bessie Gordon. Guests included the Pedersons Hinsse and Porters from Sioux City, the Haights in Cedar Rapids and Waterloo, and the Petersons in Storm Lake. Additional visits covered Pender Nebraska, Renwick May visits, and several trips to Lake View, Des Moines, Northfield Minnesota, and Lake City Minnesota. Families attended Mother's Day events and church or Deaconess meetings in Cherokee and Spencer.
