Local gatherings mark weekend visits and church sale
Mr and Mrs Conrad Engdahl hosted visitors at the Harry Lindgren home in Meriden on Sunday. Several families and relatives joined in Sunday evening gatherings, including the Stienekes in Cherokee and Engdahl relatives in Meriden. Circle No 2 of Bethlehem Lutheran in Cherokee plans a May 16 bake and rummage sale in the church basement with donuts and coffee served and Mrs Louis Larson as chair. The Legion Firing Squad and spouses will host a party at the Legion hall Sunday night at 7:30 postponed from a month ago.

School Ends Early Next Friday in Aurelia
Sept D J Friedlund announced the school would end for the summer next Friday May 22 at 12 15. Lunch will be served at the school and teachers will be at the school house in the afternoon. Report cards will be delivered Saturday afternoon May 23.
