Aurelia Federated Garden Club met May 9 at Mrs. Edmund Radke’s home with President Mrs. John Leber presiding. Members discussed Pillaws for the June 4 flower show and plantings for the triangle area.
School lunch menu lists meals for May 16 to May 18 including beef with gravy and mashed potatoes on May 16 bread and butter tomatoes rice pudding and milk on May 16 May 17 offers taverns and relishes a pear and brownie with milk May 18 features lasagna cabbage slaw and rolled wheat rolls for students.
The menu lists meals for Thursday May 19 including chili and crackers vegetable salad citrus fruit cup cinnamon roll and milk. Friday May 20 offers tuna macaroni salad peanut butter sandwich pineapple and banana salad frosted cremes and chocolate milk.
Mr and Mrs Darwin Otto and Peter of Los Angeles are visiting relatives. Carolyn Otto of Des Moines stayed with the Ben Otto home and met new nephew Clint Douglas. Mrs Lloyd Getzmeier attended a shower for Jane Crouch of Primghar. she is engaged to Don Lichtenberg of Ida Grove.
