Opinions React
A reflective aphorism notes that a man speaks not to reveal himself but to judge others by words. Each utterance shapes the speaker’s image as opinions bounce back to the one who speaks.
Drama on Horseback and Ancient Spectacles Noted
The article notes drums on horseback in England with 1642 royal dispatch to Vienna for kettle drums. Mounted bands appeared in the late 18th century with the Life Guards, and spectacles are traced to ancient writings possibly earlier than de Spina Hved.
