Leaders from Afton Pitcher and Diamond townships met March 22 at Mrs Art Whiting's home in Afton for the fourth nutrition lesson led by Miss Lillie Swanson of Ames. Meals for children and for various weights and elderly were discussed. a balanced noon meal was served. Next lesson set for April 19 in Diamond on Food for Special Occasions.

Ona B Mongan president of the League of the Four Leaf Clover earns a three month paid Homemaker Course at Ames for her 4 H Canning Club record of 109 pints fruit and 404 pints vegetables totaling 513 pints with an estimated saving of 66 91. She has been a charter member since 1924 and led club activities. The Afton club has a strong history with Clara Dreyer and other honors, including county championships and state fair representation.

W F M S Holds Founders Day Program at Congregational Church
The Woman's Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist church held its Founders Day program last Friday at the Congregational church due to a fire at their own building. Donations included patrons' gift $15, incense $14.63, and silver offering $14. Staged items featured piano solo by Mrs. O C Waddell, opening song, devotions by Rev.
