Social notes report Sunset Kool Auxiliary meeting at the Home on Monday March 3. Mrs Walter Memking hosted Renuge Club Monday night. A Gessert lunch was served with later dessert at three tables. Mrs M C Pantsan won high score prize and Mrs Beulah Dagger won second. Friendship Club party was held Saturday at the Afton Community Building with prizes to Clarence Mevall and Mrs Ella Stief. second high to Quentin Andersen and Mrs Donald Pingel. traveling to Duane Perry and Burrell Alkire. Forty five relatives attended Carl Larson’s 80th open house on Sunday March 17 hosted by Mr and Mrs Louis Pfaff. Ann and Dan Piaf presented their grandfather a boutonniere. St Patrick’s motif decorates. coffee and cake served by Mrs Pfaff and Mrs Ray Shaw. small cakes by Mrs Pfaff. large cake by Mrs Shaw. Flowers came from local lodges and families. out of town guests included Mr and Mrs Ernest Phipps of Sioux Rapids. Mr and Mrs Virgil Wentworth and Dennis and Mrs David.

Community Club Notes From Storm Lake And Newell
Ward of Cherokee and families from Storm Lake and Newell attend a Friendship Club luncheon and Oundee party hosted by Mrs. Clarence Morwall, Mrs. Robert Miller, Mrs. Gayten Miller, and Mrs. Jerry Anderson. A later Anderson home gathering featured bridge with multiple prize winners and traveling prizes. The Aftos Community Club met March 13 with 15 members, Henry Johnson presiding, entertainment led by Don Goodburn, and prize lists for winners. The next meeting is set for March 27 with Mrs. Earl Miller.
