Legion Auxiliary Plans St Patrick Tea and county meeting
The American Legion Auxiliary met March 2 at the legion hall. Committees were appointed for the Aurelia county meeting on March 29. Plans were made for a St Patrick's tea on March 17. Mrs. Tom Griffith and Mrs. Edwin Engdahl led a community service program. Mrs. Russell Alen sang two solos with Mrs. O C Waddell on piano. Door prize winner was Mrs. Ray Howell. Lunch was served by Mrs. Arvid Anderson and committee.

Aurelia junior high boys defeated Cleghorn 32 to 25 to reach the Cherokee County Junior High final as Quimby and Meriden chase girls’ championship. Lenz led Aurelia with 20 points while Peters and Hodge added for Aurelia. Cleghorn, Parks top scorer with 9.
