Deep Well Project Backed by City Council
Loekin and J W Parker, appointed to draft an agreement with George P Kounkel of LeMans Governing, signed June 12, with work to start within fifteen days. The well, at the power house, will be cased with black arta well casing and fed by not less than one throat and barrels per day. Upon completion, Kounkel to be paid in town warrants at 2.50 per foot, town may oversee work, contractor to maintain the well for one year, and sand removal if needed. A deep clean drinking water source will benefit businesses and residents.
