The Diamond Ladies Aid plans a homemade ice cream social with cake and pie at the church on Thursday evening June 15. Proceeds from the event and a collection at the meeting earlier in the week totaled a little over five dollars.

Congressman Guy M. Gillette will nominate one principal and three alternates for the U S Naval Academy appointment at Annapolis before March 4 1934. An elimination test in Cherokee will be held likely in September for applicants 16 to 20 years old, with a preliminary exam possible February next and exemptions via school certificates subject to a qualifying sub examination.
