Republican Convention At Spirit Lake Iowa Nomination Plan
A Republican congressional convention for the Alevyot district will meet at Spirit Lake Iowa on Wednesday for nominating a candidate. Delegates are apportioned by county and by votes for Frank D Jackson in the last gubernatorial election. Cherokee county voters will elect delegates at a county convention June 16 1896 to represent the county at the Spirit Lake convention. The notice includes township representation and a reward for property destruction in Cherokee county. The Sioux City Weekly Journal ad promotes its edition and subscription rates.
