The life of Alfred Lord Tennyson blended romance and poetry. His friend Arthur Hallam’s death triggered a decade of retirement before In Memoriam. He married Emily Sellwood, found peace in marriage, became Poet Laureate after Wordsworth, lived on the Isle of Wight, and died in 1892 at eighty three.
Sir Bedivere hides the weapon as Arthur orders. He hurls Excalibur into the lake and a spectral arm returns it. Arthur is carried to a waiting barge by queens, bids Bedivere to pray, and his rule ends as old order changes.
A customer seeks scratching pictures at an art shop. A clerk recognizes their itchings and guides the guest. At a resort hotel a furious visitor complains of a supposed long view, only to be told to look out the window.
A short exchange between Father and Mother and Tommy centers on travel and a black eye. Tommy explains he did not choose to run, a playful moment reflecting aspirations and mischief. The quip hints at future possibilities and the child's stubbornness while keeping a light editorial tone.
