Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Buddenhagen entertained relatives after commencement for Carolyn Buddenhagen's graduation. Attending were Mrs. Henry F. Buddenhagen, the Kolpins, John Buddenhagen and family, Roy Lump family, Ed Buddenhagen, and Ray. Five members attended the Jr Auxiliary Girls meeting Tuesday.
The Cherokee Chapter of the American Cancer Society met at the VFW Hall May 28 with film Life Story shown and a merit certificate awarded to Dale Sturgeon for Cancer Crusade cooperation. Reported half of the 1962 goal, $2011, has been received. The American Legion Auxiliary served coffee and cookies. Volunteers prepared 36 rose motif favors for a hospital. The group plans to participate in the Quimby Jubilee Parade on July 18 with Sandra Tscherter providing treats.

The council reviewed Fire House project plans and moved to reject a Class B Beer Permit for Forest Glenn Marshall. Building permits approved for Maurice Hansen addition, Harold O Rourke dwelling, and Gene D Kline dwelling with attached garage. meeting adjourned.
