Local Socials Honor Birthdays and Community Groups
Mrs John W Swanson hosted her Birthday Club on Monday with twelve guests. Mrs H H Reitz and others hosted an afternoon courtesy for Mrs John Lorenz of Independence and Mrs Delbert Hanson of Winthrop. A birthday gathering for Mrs Swanson occurred Sunday evening at her home. Groups at Clifford Coombs and Will Wieland homes celebrated birthdays with informal visits and lunch. A National Farm Loan Assn dividend of 12 percent was announced for Cherokee and Storm Lake members with checks totaling over 30000 issued from funds provided by the Federal Land Bank Omaha.
