The Aurelia Sentinel notes rural carriers from the post office will depart at 9 a.m. instead of 8 a.m. and arrive at 5 p.m. instead of 3:30 p.m., effective Monday the 19th. W. C. Marsh signs the notice.
The notice lists attractions including Maud Wallington Booth Gov Henry A Buchtel Mrs A Hs Simms and Gov John A Joho offering a program of lectures and music with prominent figures.
Din Clark and others announce a Chautauqua at Chautauqua Park running July 21 to August 1 with lectures on tuberculosis and health demonstrations by Dr Kepford, talks to farmers by Joseph Wing, boys club instruction by Prof Blakely, and a children's hour led by Miss Stevens. Aurelia Iowa grants Peoples Co operative Telephone Company a twenty year nonexclusive right to erect poles wires and underground conduits on city streets alleys and rights of way for a local telephone exchange. The ordinance sets height placement safety requirements and city supervision with underground options and noninterference with water gas sewers or other utilities. Acceptance signed Mose Mummert mayor and clerk.
