Frontier Carnival to Visit Aurelia Next Week
The Frontier Carnival comes to Aurelia for a two day stand on July 17 and 18 sponsored by the Aurelia Legion Post and the Aurelia Commercial Club. Rides and local concessions will be offered with tickets selling 10c in advance and 20c on setup day. The event will occupy Aurelia’s Main Street and tickets are available at local banks and cafes.

Two Escape Injury In Highway Intersection Crash
Two persons escaped serious injury when two cars collided at the intersection of Highway 3 and the blacktop northeast of Aurelia on Wednesday morning. The front ends of both cars were heavily damaged. Drivers were Thomas Schoope of Storm Lake a Swift Co employee and Eunice Anderson of rural Alta.

Charles Lehmuidt 26 has begun duties as Vocational Agriculture instructor in Aurelia, succeeding Jerry Conley who resigned to farm. A Stuart native, Lehmuidt is a 1958 Town State University Ames graduate with post graduate work at Minnesota and Iowa State University. He has taught at Lytton for four years and specializes in swine and sheep feeding. The Lehrmidt family, including Darlene and children Linda and Robert, moved into the Conley home near the school as the Conleys relocate to a farm south of Cherokee.
