The wedding featured a four tier cake with white decoration and Chi Rho cross. Bride wears yellow linen Empire belt dress and talisman rose corsage. Bride, a 1966 Aurelia High School graduate and nursing student, will wed a Classical High School Springfield, Mass alumnus serving in the Air Force.
Elizabeth Birkholz of Racine served as maid of honor and Patricia Mary Daly cousin of the groom was a bridesmaid. The bride wore Swiss lace and illusion net with organza roses while her train and blue crepe bridesmaids complemented the light blue gowns. Best man Darrell Millard stood beside Kent Plautz and Sherwood Smith as groomsmen. Flower girl DeeAnn Gregg and candle lighters Roger and Kevin Gregg helped after the ceremony.
The bride, a teacher in Racine United School District, wore a light blue sleeveless dress with blue and white accessories and a white rose corsage from her bouquet. The groom, an auditor for Walgreen Company in Chicago, will reside at 5010 Biscayne Ave in Racine.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Madsen and family traveled to Schaller on July 4 for a picnic supper hosted at the Merle Madsen residence. Mr. John Weise and his son Ted from Minneapolis visited in the Kenneth Peterson home on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Royce Steffens were also mentioned in the local gathering.
Residents from Dubuque Corning Santa Rosa and Galva visited relatives in Aurelia and Denison with trips to Six Flags Over Texas and a Fort Worth museum. Card of thanks expresses gratitude to the Aurelia Fire Department emergency squad and friends for support during illness and hospital stay.
