A July 4 family picnic at the Edgar Allen home marked wedding anniversary and birthday celebrations with many guests listed from Cher okee and Battle Creek. Peregrine White Circle met with Mrs. Ralph Bruns and planned a church workshop for July 22. A Storm Lake gathering honored Edgar Allen and Mrs. Kenneth Edwards with relatives from Storm Lake attending. A Beverly Otto bridal shower near Schaller drew about 40 relatives and friends with corsages and games. Other meetings include a large Cherokee dinner at a Reilly home and a Gaston family reunion at Alta park with many relatives from multiple towns. A council meeting in Aurelia discussed library bond bids with open and sealed bids and multiple banks noted.
