Marion Holtz of near Holstein married Harold Husted in a Thursday ceremony at St John’s Lutheran Church Hanover. Prof Schmidt played Lohengrin organ music as the couple stood before Rev. Hey We King, with Miss Mustedt and Beatrice S as bridesmaids and Lawrence Wendeler Foltz among the groomsmen. A three course dinner followed at John Holly fem with local hosts and helpers.
Mrs John Holtz married a son of Mr and Mrs F W Hustedt. The Hustedts have lived all their lives in the community. They plan to farm near Galva. Storm Lake Register.
Cherokee Times notes the identification of Walter Speed Hines as the bank bandit linked to the Abbey of Quimby State Trust and Savings theft. R G Rodman county attorney says more arrests are expected as Yuckey state agent returns from Spencer with clues.
Relatives and friends meet at Mrs. Ed Erickson home in East Afton on January 25 to celebrate her birthday with a three course supper. Five Hbar alvedts won high scores, with Clayton Mitchell and Mrs. Bill Booth as top scorers and Orvite Brickson and Meinaret Keister taking low scores. Minnie Buddenhagen returns home from employment at Bill Ruebsam’s. Mr. and Mrs. John Booth shop in Cherokee.
