About 780 farmers gathered Saturday to discuss forming a farmers elevator and stock venture led by M W A. FG Scott presided with T W Hartigan as secretary. B Hathaway urged organization and stock offerings were set at 50 dollars a share with 200 dollars required. A follow up meeting will be held March 29 to incorporate and secure a site as Galva Farmers Elevator Co. plans to double capacity to deter Aurelia farmers from buying elsewhere.

Mrs Ambraxe S. Perry, long time Cherokee County resident, died suddenly at 14 East Willow Street on a Saturday morning January 19 from apoplexy after reporting a severe headache. Funeral services were held at the M E Church Tuesday at 1:50, with surviving husband Frank N Perry and six children. Auction notices and local notices follow, including a Ross Dick farm sale near Aurelia with cattle, horses, crops, and farm machinery, terms cash and 10 months on bankable notes.
