Aurelia council approves amended budget in special meeting

The Aurelia Iowa town council met December 26 1962 to hear and amend the budget. Amendments raised General Fund to 5000 dollars Public Safety Fund to 8000 Road Use Tax Fund to 23500 all from non tax receipts no tax increase noted. Meeting adjourned after final adoption and certification filed. John Reitz received fire department membership. Mayor Nelson and Clerk Wieland presided.

Country Ramblers 4-H Christmas Party Held at Sunset Knoll

The Country Ramblers 4-H gathered for a December 19 party in Pat Nielsen's basement. Members delivered plates of cookies to residents at Sunset Knoll and sang carols in the halls and to several shut ins on the way back to the house.
