Mrs. Fred Stieneke led a social at the Afton Community Club on Wednesday with six members and one guest, Mrs. Roy Stieneke. Details of further proceedings were not provided in the readable text.
Ray Smith presided as members answered roll call. Mrs. Moore discussed Cherokee Care Center activities. Plans for Easter centerpieces and dining room trays were set for the next meeting. Mer Resene and club guests enjoyed supper and cards with top scores recorded for both women and men. Maple Valley Friendship Club slated a Friday meeting. Barracks No. 1506 Veterans of World War I gathered for a noon pot luck at Cherokee Legion Hall. Aurelia Boy Scouts announce pancake supper on February 23 at the Aurelia Community Center with tickets selling for 1.25 adults 0.75 students. Eighth District officers to be elected at Cherokee VFW Hall April 27. next Barracks meeting March 11 at Aurelia Community Center. Northside Birthday Club met.
