Kingsley Iowa Republican candidate R E Hess declares his run for State Senate in the 45th District covering Plymouth Cherokee and Ida counties and says the race will be decided at the June Primary.
The Womans Club met at Mrs. Richard Glawe's home on Friday February 13. Members shared favorite quotations and agreed to assemble used purses filled with daily necessities for shipment overseas.

Pierre Bengston thanks friends for flowers cards letters calls and gifts during his Rochester Minnesota stay and after returning home, saying the messages were greatly appreciated.
Mrs. W M Booth hosts five hundred and card parties at multiple events with high and low score prizes awarded to various guests including Rachel Olson Bill Booth Quentin Anderson Edna Kolpin and John Booth.
