A petition circulates for a Saturday after noon gathering on February 25 at Woodman hall to vote stock for the People's Co operative company. Renters are urged to buy to keep the cooperative owned by the people and not by a few.

Leota Mene Fee and William N Steezer wed at the Mene Fee home in Afton township on February 8. The ceremony by Rev. Howe was simple and touched by family in an all relational setting. The couple, both Cherokee county natives, will live on a farm north of Cherokee and depart for a wedding trip to Sioux City, Minnesota and Marathon after the ceremony.
Yesterday morning Frank Stevenson son of Matt Stevenson was arrested on information from Calloway Nebraska charging forgery. He admitted forging a $21.10 check and will likely be taken to Nebraska. His father in jail with him last night. his mother recently died.
